Time flies! We are going on vacation in less than a week! I have to pack my bags for the race weekend in California and then Puerto Vallarta for a week. I really hate packing bags. I usually bring too much, like most girls I am sure! But now that most airlines have a new rule of only 1 checked bag for free, I will have to be reasonable in what I bring. My dad flew back to Quebec this morning. I was really sad to see him leave, I wished he would have stayed longer.

I finally did something nice with my dad today. We went for a walk in the woods, the weather was perfect and it was really pleasant.

I was supposed to get up really early to go for my long run but I slept like crap last night so I turned off my alarm clock and slept in.
I have restless legs syndrome and my legs were hurting bad and I couldn’t stop turning around in the bed. So in the middle of the night I got up and went to sleep on the couch so Celt could get some sleep without having a crazy person kicking her legs in bed beside him.
So I had to do my run in the afternoon. I didn’t want to run 12 miles on a treadmill so I ran to do gym for 5 miles, bought a drink and ran 2 miles on the machine and then ran back home for the last 5 miles. It was pretty hot coming back and with all the hills I was pretty tired so I had to walk a little more than usual. Not too bad though as it took me just 3 minutes longer to do the same 5 miles as when I started. So that’s done! I feel great about it!
One more long run before our 1/2 marathon!

We went to Cincinnati zoo today with my father. I love that zoo. Last time we went we didn’t have time to visit it all but I didn’t realize how much we had left out until today! I saw the elephants, the reptiles and the gorillas today among other things. I was really fascinated with the Gorillas, especially the male! He was HUGE! I couldn’t believe how big he was! I just had to take those pictures to show you! He does look bigger in real though. I enjoyed the zoo for the second time so it was a nice day!
