What did you do today? I bet you had more fun than me! LOL I got up at 6AM to go running!
Celt and I had to do 19 miles today… So in order to get that done I got up way early so I would finish by the end of the morning and then Celt would go and do his run and would be done by mid-afternoon. That was the plan, and it worked! If we don’t do that then by the time we both run, the day is over and it is dinner time.
My run was my longest so far and it went pretty well. The only problem I had was my socks. I wore the wrong ones and they gave me a blister and I still had 6 miles to go. I toughed it up though. I am glad this happened now rather then at the race! Now I know what socks NOT to wear!
I didn’t do much the rest of the day cause I was exhausted! No shit!

I went running in the morning and did around 8 miles to make up for what I didn’t do last Thursday. I still have to do a long run tomorrow as well.

As you probably know by now, I have moved my stuff from Quebec to Kentucky at the beginning of this month. Among the things were a couch and love seat that we decided to use instead of the ones we currently have.
So we brought them upstairs (and it was a real bitch to move!) and took the old couch and chair down (another bitch job) in the garage.
Since even before we moved everything from Quebec, I have been trying to sell my couch on Craigslist but hadn’t been successful. Until today! One woman was real interested in it but wanted to pay 1/2 of what I had listed it for. I told her if I didn’t sell it at that price, I would come down every week which I did and after over a month it was down to $200 and she bought it!
So it is finally out of our garage and I am real happy about that! But I do feel like an idiot because the first week I had it up for sale, someone came over and offered me $300 for it but I said no cause I had a better offer at $400 from someone who promised to mail the money right away. Yeah right! Ok I was a Craigslist virgin and I had to learn from my mistakes! Lesson learned… if someone offers money now, take it!! So I lost $100 with that mistake, but I am smart now and will not get screwed like that again!
Bye bye my couch! I really liked it and it was real comfortable so I am kind of sad that it is gone. But the ones we have now are better quality and I think they look better. Here are the pics I used on my listing…

OK, it is true that we celebrated Thanksgiving last week and we had a great time. But today being the real Thanksgiving day, I can’t help but feel lonely. I am home alone as Celt had to work. He is feeling pretty lame himself, out of town in a hotel room. I am alone but at least I am home.
It is strange how the concept of “family” doesn’t become a priority until you have kids. Well, for me anyway. I spent my entire life moving from places to places, provinces to provinces and now in a totally different country and still moving from state to state. Always far away from my family who now I really wish I lived closer to so I could spend more time with them.
Celt feels the same way. What the hell are we doing here in Kentucky away from our loved ones? We had a job offer in Hawaii and we don’t think we will take it because it is still just as far from either of our families. Kentucky sucks, Hawaii would be a much better place but it is still not really tempting unless it brings us closer to where we want to be.
I guess being alone today is making me melancolic. Here is a picture from one of this week’s update to cheer us up!

I have been trying for about a week to return some things I bought at Macy’s Home. Last Monday I got there but then realized that Celt had mistakenly taking the bag out of the car.
So I went this morning with the stuff but once in the store I realized I didn’t have the receipt. Great. So I went on to JCPenny to return some jeans I got as a gift a while ago. I didn’t have the receipt but they are really atrocious so I didn’t care how much money they would give me back for them. Well I got a $7 gift card so I guess I am going to buy a Christmas ornament or something.
I had school today. The teacher really tried to give us the day off but I think my class is a little slow so we were behind and therefore couldn’t afford to have the day off. Oh well. I am doing pretty well in the class so far so I am feeling really good about that! It is actually pretty easy for me but maybe next semester will be challenging. We will see.
I brought 2 boxes up from the garage to unpack. I swear that it feels like I will never get through just those 2 boxes! My place is a disaster! There is stuff everywhere from emptying those boxes. How can those 2 things have so much stuff in them? I am giving most of it away I think. It is mostly old kitchen stuff I don’t really want anymore. Good thing cause I have no where to put it all anyway.

I guess circumstances have made it so that Celt and I haven’t had sex in more than a week! That is really outrageous and totally unacceptable!

Oh my God! My run sucked so bad today! I had to do 14 miles and it was HELL!
I couldn’t find a mental place to be during my run. I was so down and so sad because of yesterday’s news. There seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel right now. And try to train for a marathon with that frame of mind. Boy it was bad!!
I made it but it took a long time and I had to walk a bunch. Not good.

Ah life really sucks sometimes! We had some bad news today. We were really hoping for Celt to get a position in California at his job. We have been waiting for 3 years. But because of the bad economy right now, his field isn’t really moving and hiring. So we didn’t get the position we were hoping for. Which means we are stuck here in Kentucky for a while.
Kentucky is no California! Bill’s family is all over there and it would be so nice to be close to them. We have had our life on hold for the past 3 years because we keep hoping we will be able to move to where we want to be which is somewhere on the West Coast. But it never happens. It sucks!
Secretly I kind of hope that Celt looses his job one day. Then we would be forced to move, even if that means living with his parents for a while. Once we are on the West Coast again, we are sooo not moving away ever!
Maybe in 2009… yeah right, I have been saying that for 3 years now!
