I haven’t been to the gym in a while now but finally went today. I feel like a whale. I ran my marathon January 11th and since then haven’t done much of anything. I tried to be consistent with weight training but my daughter has been sick and so I couldn’t go to the gym. The forced time off is OK I guess since you are supposed to rest for about 26 days after you run a marathon. Apparently this is to help your body recover from the stress of the race. Well I think it is just helping my body get covered in fat.
Outside, the city is still trying to recover from the snow/ice storm. Can you believe that all schools are closed because of this? Good Lord, if they had to close schools in Quebec whenever it snowed then people would go to school during the summer and that’s it! LOL Here is a picture I took while driving.

I had 2 photo shoots booked for this week. One for yesterday which got canceled because of the snowstorm we had and one today which got canceled for the same reason. Bummer!
We had not been outside since Monday so we decided to go check out what the fuss was all about… Well, our car was covered not only with snow but with 1 inch of ice! As you know our DVD player is broken. Customer service told me to get a head cleaner which I did but that didn’t fix it. Now I hope they will replace the player all together since it is only a couple months old. But how long is that going to be before we get another one? Celt and I watch at least a few movies a week so our DVD player gets used quite a bit. Today our 3 months old LG DVD player went belly up. Before that our three years old DVD player of the same brand broke too. I called the customer service and they said to buy a head cleaner. We will see if that helps but I doubt it.

I have been studying like crazy. I am stressed out because I don’t have the text book to read the chapter, so I have to use the companion website which has sample tests and some flash cards. I also watch the teacher’s video lectures and take notes from her slides. I really hope this will be enough to get a decent score on my quizzes. Until I get the book. I ordered it yesterday, paid for 1 day shipping but it didn’t come today.
I also started organizing my receipts for tax season.That’s always a nightmare… I try to keep up during the year but that still doesn’t work out perfectly.

I started by doing a bunch of errands. That went well and I felt productive.
Then I studied some more. I mean I seriously spend ALL of my time trying to learn this shit. I read the chapter and then watched the lectures online. As I was watching the videos I realized the page references didn’t match my book at all. I emailed the teacher and then investigated some more to finally realized that I have the wrong fucking text book! Can you believe this?
So I went to the bookstore and thankfully they took it back but they didn’t have the right book because the class I am taking is online and therefore I have to order the book from the online bookstore. Fuck, that’s just great, my class is already started. So I ordered the book online and paid the fee for next day shipping. Then as I finished the transaction I noticed it said please allow 10 days for processing. Oh shit! I am in trouble now. I am taking a class and I don’t have the book. It better come soon is all I have to say!!
